Support
Requirements
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.
Full Disk Access
Orbit can show every folder on your Mac only with Full Disk Access. On first launch it offers to open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Full Disk Access; turn on Orbit there. You can also skip this and grant folders one at a time when Orbit asks.
Updates
On its second launch Orbit asks whether to check for updates automatically. If you agree, it checks once a day; you can always choose Orbit › Check for Updates…. Updates come from orbit.faur.sh, and Orbit installs one only if its signature matches. See release notes.
Uninstall
Quit Orbit and drag it from Applications to the Trash. To remove its settings and saved connections too, delete
~/Library/Application Support/Orbit, ~/Library/Caches/Orbit,
~/Library/Group Containers/HV3K34Y77Y.group.app.orbit and
~/Library/Preferences/app.orbit.direct.plist, and remove the “Orbit (…)” items in Keychain Access. If you
allowed Orbit's helper for administrator operations, turn it off in System Settings › General › Login Items.
